Honorable Mention
History, a crap shoot
Julius (Michael Sottak)

bury the minds before they speak...

Napoleon marched his troops northeast
to take Russia from Alexander

stole the soul of his country--
sixteen year old conscripts

at Boridino 74,000 casualties
in a ten hour battle

the bloodiest battle in history

they marched on to Moscow
met no resistance

so they took everything they could
and marched back

the weight of their thievery killed them
the Russian wind swooped in early that year...

they took gold, instead of of food
and died along the trail

the surviviors made it to Luthuania...
ate, drank and died of typhus...

buried in trenches they had dug
to prevent a Russian counterattack...

Napoleon fled to Paris
to preserve his political edge
start the spin
explain the loss

of sons

the Brits under Wellington
buried him at Waterloo...

the Russians ran the whole time...

mostly

they have nothing to show for it
except Doestoevsky and Pushkin...

and

the only thing a man needs to know--

don't follow
